Lovely Inside and Out with Bundle of Love

I'm squeaking out a couple more posts with retiring product,
in anticipation of the new 2018-19 Stampin' Up! Catalog.
I adore the Bundle of Love Specialty DSP (p 189) because
of the abundance of metallics.  One side is baby colors,
the other beautiful patterns of gold!

The Lovely Inside and Out stamp set (p 157),
with coordinating Lovely Words Thinlits (p 214) are
gone June 1st.  If you have an interest in either product,
now is the time to snap them up!

Watts of Occasions Sneak Peak

This is kind of an old - new/sneak peak pairing.
Watts of Occasions on page 63 is retiring and will
be sorely missed.  This is such a cute set, that works for
lots of situations.

For the sneak peak, I used two new colors; Poppy Parade
and Mango Melody. These are really great colors,
that are brilliant together!

Bird Banter Going in Circles

These Stitched Shapes circles were a great fit for the
Bird Banter set (Occasions p 42).  I colored the birds
with Stampin' Blends and cut them out with the
Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (annual p 214).
The Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions
Embossing Folder (annual p 211) added a bit of texture
to the background layer, as did a bow made out of
Crushed Curry Baker's Twine.

Work of Art with Beautiful You

This card is follow-up after last Friday's Stamp Off
Challenge.  I've continue to experiment with
the swishes from Work of Art (annual p 151).  They really
lend themselves to great backgrounds as indicated
by several previous posts:

In this example, I stamped the swish with Crushed Curry and
Flirty Flamingo.  The sentiment comes from Beautiful You
(p 121).  If I had added gold embossed swishes, per the
previous post, this card would look a bit more fancy.

Stamp Off Out With the Old Work of Art

As we approach the end of May, it is time
for Susan, Buffy and I say goodbye to some
retiring sets.

It is a bit like saying goodbye to an old friend.
There is often pain involved in shelving sets,
that we have spent time with.
Not that we can't continue to use them, but we generally
post current Stampin' Up! product (most of the time)!

One of my favorite retiring sets is Work of Art, on page 151.
Looking at this set reminded me of the
Painted with Love Specialty DSP in the Occasions
Catalog (pages 18-19).  I knew that I could create a similar
look, by stamping the swish stamp in different colors, and then
adding gold embossed swishes.  The Work of Art swishes
allow you to create lots of different backgrounds and moods.

For this example, I used the returning Flirty Flamingo with
retiring Peekaboo Peach.  Hints of black work very well
with these colors, including the gold embossing.
I added a bit of Black Baker's Twine and this
card was complete.

Here are some past posts that use this
"swish background approach":

Work of Art with Flower Shop
I appreciate your stop at my blog and know that you
will enjoy the ideas offered by Buffy and Susan!

Framed Bubble Over

I continue to play around with using the Stamparatus to
create a sentiment frame for an image.  In this example,
I used Bubble Over (Occasions p 32).  This lovely
bundle is carrying over to the 2018-2019 catalog, which
makes me very happy!!   Using the Bottles and Bubbles
Framelits dies, I cut out two bottles, in order
to proved a backdrop.  I added a few Gold Foil "bubbles"
to emphasize the festive theme.
