Stamp Off Patriotic Tree

I hope that you have been checking in on Fridays,
and enjoy our challenges as much as Buffy, Susan and I do!

The challenge for today was a "no-brainer", given that this
is July 4th weekend.  We are pleased and proud to offer
a patriotic challenge.  I am so grateful to those
who protect our country, including the military, police,
fire fighters and others who provide security, that we might
enjoy the freedoms that we hold dear.

I don't know what it is.  Perhaps because I have been trying
to diet lately, thoughts of food are an undercurrent in my
brain.  I couldn't get the "American as apple pie" worm
out of my head.  I'd been wanting to do a Swirly Scribbles
Thinlits (p 194) tree for a while.  This card uses a number
of other products, including:
Tree Trunk:  Thoughts and Prayers set on page 52
"Celebrate" sentiment:  Celebrate Today set on page 18
Apples:  Tree Builder Punch on page 188.  I added a couple of glimmer paper apples, to add some sparkle.

Please enjoy a safe and relaxing July 4th holiday!

So now that you've seen my patriotic sample, please hop
over to see the inspirational projects offered by
Susan and Buffy.

Painter's Palette

Painter's Palette on page 119 is a cool set for a number of
reasons.  It has swooshes, that enable lots
of neat backgrounds and effects.  It is also a modern set,
that offers a masculine look for the guy in your life.
Painters Palette coordinates with the Layering Squares
Framelits on page 119, as well as a suite of coordinating
product, including Washi tape, Designer Series Paper
and a Coordinating Cardstock Pack.  The cardstock packs
are cool because you get a variety of cardstock that
coordinates with the Designer Series paper, without buying
a group of individual cardstock packs.

June My Paper Pumpkin Flowers Card

This is a third version that I made with the June My Paper
Pumpkin kit. The flowers made with the Botanical Builder Framelits (page 194) look great against the striped background
of the cardbases from this kit.  The background is so neutral, that almost any color scheme works with it.
I put sequins from the kit in the flower centers, although it's difficult to get a picture that shows of the sparkle.

I made a 4th card, but that has already been shipped off
to my nephew for his birthday this week.

June My Paper Pumpkin

The My Paper Pumpkin kit for June is a banner card.
It comes with cello bags, sequins, washi tape, cards,
envelopes and set.

It's fun to try different variations on the monthly My Paper
Pumpkin kits.  In this case, I attempted to make a "party hat".
